We are committed to creating a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where every child, family member, friend, staff member and visitor feels valued and respected. We believe children learn best when they feel happy, safe and supported.
Our curriculum is carefully planned to meet the individual needs, interests and stages of development of every child. While our daily activities provide structure and routine, our approach remains flexible, allowing each child to learn at their own pace and in a way that suits them best.
We encourage children to develop kindness, respect and understanding for others. Throughout the year, we celebrate a variety of cultural traditions and religious festivals, helping children learn about different beliefs, backgrounds and communities while promoting inclusion and equality.
Upon joining you will be given a log in to “Famly”, our nursery management software where you can book additional sessions, view invoices, mark absences and much more. Throughout your child’s time with us, we create a personalised Learning Journey on Famly, filled with observations, photographs and milestones that celebrate their progress and achievements. When your child moves on to school, this Learning Journey is shared with their new setting to support a smooth transition.
We hold regular parents’ evenings to discuss your child’s progress and development, and our open-door policy means you are always welcome to speak with a member of our team whenever you have a question or would like an update.

As well as providing valuable insight into your child’s development, it becomes a treasured keepsake, capturing the wonderful experiences, friendships and happy memories made during their time at nursery.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the national framework that guides the care, learning and development of children from birth to the end of their Reception year (age five).
At Little Weavers, the EYFS underpins everything we do. From your child’s first day with us through to the end of their Reception year at primary school, it provides a clear framework to support their learning, development and wellbeing.
Our experienced team regularly observes and assesses each child’s progress across all areas of the EYFS. These observations are recorded in your child’s secure online Learning Journey, which begins as soon as they join us.
Parents and carers can access their child’s Learning Journey at any time to see their achievements, milestones and special moments. We also encourage families to contribute their own observations and experiences from home, helping us build a complete picture of each child’s development.
We carefully plan activities around each child’s individual interests, strengths and stage of development. By following children’s natural curiosity and favourite ways to play, we create engaging learning experiences that support their next steps while making learning enjoyable, meaningful and fun.
