There are several funding schemes available, each designed to support families with different needs. At Little Weavers Day Nursery, we can assist you in understanding these options and determining your eligibility, ensuring you can make the most of the support available.
At Little Weavers, we offer funding for eligible working families from 9 months old, as well as funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds for children who live in England.
The funding available is for up to 30 hours per week for 38 weeks a year. We spread the funding across the year, over 51 weeks. Applications for eligibility are through HMRC via a Childcare Account through the Government Gateway.

Early years funding always starts the term following the child turning of eligible age. It is not possible to apply for the working parent entitlement in the same term you wish to start. Funding can only be accessed from the start of a term.

If you do not re-confirm every 3 months you will lose your entitlement.
It is the parent’s responsibility to reconfirm their eligibility every 3 months. Failure to do so will result in the entitlement ending and you paying for any hours used at our private rate. Depending on when you first apply, you may find you need to reconfirm your eligibility before your child starts accessing a funded place.
Up to 22.35 hours per week can be claimed and spread across the nursery year of 51 weeks, (eligibility criteria to be met). Once you have applied, if eligible, you will receive a code, which needs to be given to Nursery. This becomes available the term after a child reaches 9 months.

Some families may be eligible for the 2 year old entitlement for families in receipt of additional government support of up to 15 hours per week. Please contact your local Childrens Centre for further information. Up to 15 hours per week of the working families entitlement for 2 year olds may also be claimed together with this entitlement for families eligible for both entitlements.
All children age 3 who live in England can have up to 15 hours funding per week with us term time only. This becomes available the term after a child’s third birthday.
There is also a further 15 hours (term time only) available per week for eligible working parents of children 3+ years. You will need to apply for a code for this and check your eligibility on Best Start in Life – Best Start in Life The code you are given needs to be presented to the Nursery. As this is a working parents offer, these hours can be stretched across 51 weeks per year equating to 22.25 hours per week.
If you do receive a code this must be re-confirmed every 3 months when prompted to do so by HMRC to remain eligible for the funding.
