Every day is filled with exciting, hands-on experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence.
Whether they’re exploring the weather by splashing in muddy puddles, building the tallest tower in our construction area or discovering new textures through sensory play, every activity is designed to support your child’s learning and development in a fun and meaningful way.
We encourage children to investigate the world around them through a wide variety of play experiences. From dough, gloop, water, sand and messy play to baking, painting and creative arts, children are free to explore, experiment and express themselves.
We also provide a range of real-life resources that encourage imaginative play and problem-solving. Our children love bringing in interesting treasures from their weekend adventures to share with friends during circle time, helping to build confidence, communication skills and a love of learning.

Being active is an important part of every child’s day. We provide regular yoga, dance and PE sessions, alongside plenty of outdoor play, helping children develop coordination, balance, strength and confidence while having lots of fun.
Our aim is to provide a caring and stimulating environment where children can develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and creatively.
We encourage children to build positive relationships with both staff and their peers, helping them feel secure, valued and confident. With familiar routines and a well-planned daily timetable, children quickly settle into nursery life, developing independence while feeling safe, happy and ready to learn.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the national framework that guides the care, learning and development of children from birth to the end of their Reception year (age five).
At Little Weavers, the EYFS underpins everything we do. From your child’s first day with us through to the end of their Reception year at primary school, it provides a clear framework to support their learning, development and wellbeing.
Our experienced team regularly observes and assesses each child’s progress across all areas of the EYFS. These observations are recorded in your child’s secure online Learning Journey, which begins as soon as they join us.
Parents and carers can access their child’s Learning Journey at any time to see their achievements, milestones and special moments. We also encourage families to contribute their own observations and experiences from home, helping us build a complete picture of each child’s development.
We carefully plan activities around each child’s individual interests, strengths and stage of development. By following children’s natural curiosity and favourite ways to play, we create engaging learning experiences that support their next steps while making learning enjoyable, meaningful and fun.
